Charleston Scottish Rite Language Center Celebrates First Anniversary and First Graduates
On August 31 the Charleston Scottish Rite Childhood Language Disorders Center came together with Scottish Rite board members, parents and other guests to eat birthday cake and honor our first two students to complete the program.
These two young men are Wyatt
Wells and Samuel Wegner. Both of them are entering school, Samuel at
Northwoods Academy and Wyatt at Orange Grove Elementary. Wyatt’s mother
spoke to the group and expressed her appreciation for what Scottish Rite had
meant in their lives. She shared with the group that she had received a
letter from Wyatt’s teacher telling her how pleased she had been with the
changes she had seen in Wyatt as the year progressed and how much Wyatt had
actually taught HER about correct articulation of speech sounds! There may
be a budding speech pathologist in our midst. Congratulations to both of
these young men for a job well done. They will both be missed at the Center.
